No seriously, the Greek flag is displayed proudly on docks, homes etc. I remember reading an article by a foreigner visiting the U.S. and they were amazed as to how many U.S. flags they saw displayed. I forgot what country the author was from but they stated the only time the flags were flown were holidays and some major events.


Here the Greeks are proud of their country, as they should be. They are all willing to speak of the its history and beauty, and share their knowledge. I'm sure they are divided, but the sense is more united and proud.
